    Project Narrative

In partnership with Emmanuel Hospital Association, SIMaid has sought to improve the quality of life for over 120 impoverished villages in Bihar, one of the country's poorest states, located in eastern India. This is achieved by addressing specific health needs, risk behaviour, high illiteracy rates and lack of education. A key goal of this project is facilitating communities to address their own needs through community organisation, leveraging more functional service delivery from local government and skills training for income generation.
