HOPE for AIDS

    SIMaid has programs in several countries which resource local community volunteers to care for people living with HIV and AIDS in their community. The HOPE programs encompass Home-based care, Orphans and vulnerable children care, Prevention, including education, counselling and testing facilities and Enabling the local communities through training. We also assist people with HIV and AIDS and those who care for them in to income generating initiatives.

    Master Project
    This master project is designed to cascade money and other forms of support to specific projects in areas that are participating in the HOPE for AIDS program.
    Home-Based Care, Mw
    SIMaid has established a home-based care program in Malawi where volunteers make regular visits to the sick and offer health advice to families of people with HIV turned away from hospitals.
    Operation Neighbour Care
    This project providing on-going care for those affected by HIV and AIDS in rural Gokwe, by trained local volunteers as well as reducing the rate of infection through education.
    Shalom Delhi
    This project provides a clinical care centre, volunteers and education to people living with HIV in Delhi and surrounding areas.
    Home-Based Care, Zm
    This project assists people living with HIV and AIDS by training volunteers to minister to sick people and those looking after them.
    Coordination & Equipping of Church AIDS Program
    This project assists in the coordination and promotion of HIV and AIDS-related activities down to the local church level.
    Skills Building in AIDS Ministries
    This project increases the skills of SIM personnel to better implement principles of good practice within SIM's AIDS response framework of home based care, orphan care, prevention and enabling.
