    A good number of SIMaid projects address a wide range of community needs and opportunities. These are at times referred to as Community or Holistic Development as they aim for positive health, social, financial, educational and emotional outcomes.

    Holistic Development and HIV
    This project is based in the needy areas of Kaski and Nawalparasi districts to encourage communities to work together to achieve sustainable change in areas they have identified as priority HIV related needs.
    Help for the Handicapped
    Provides medical treatment, post-surgery care, physiotherapy and specialty equipment to handicapped children and adults in the Mahadaga area
    CHETNA: Changing Lives in East Champaran
    Improve the quality of life for over 120 impoverished villages in Bihar, one of the country's poorest states, by addressing specific health needs, risk behaviour, high illiteracy rates and lack of education
    Children's Uplift Program
    In Bangladesh there are approximately 500,000 children living on the streets due to poverty or abuse. Many girls who live on the street are sexually exploited.
    Kushtia Community Development Project
    The Kushtia CDP began with the vision to see the communities living in the Kushtia and Rajbari districts, in the undeveloped western side of Bangladesh, improve their quality of life through the better use of their own resources.
    Orphan Care
    This project works in partnership with the Africa Evangelical Church (AEC) to support families caring for orphans through advocacy, nutrition, respite for carers and educational needs to ensure that these children are given hope and a future.
    Orphans & Vulnerable Children
    Children made vulnerable by the HIV in Zimbabwe are kept in school by fee assistance and provision of school supplies and uniforms. Orphans are assisted with food and seed packs, milk formula.
    Redlight-Greenlight
    This project provides healing and transformation for young girls who have been victims of trafficking and sex slavery. This 'first stop' home is a safe environment where girls can receive counselling, medical care, legal support and therapy.
    Network Heaven
    This project provides aid to orphans and displaced refugees within Sri Lanka together with microbusiness and similar initiatives to provide sustainable income to widows.
    Income Generating Activities for Vulnerable Groups
    This is a project that alleviates human suffering in Zimbabwe caused by unemployment and lack of regular income.
